This Daxophone is a faithful reproduction of the original made by its inventor, Hans Reichel (1949-2011).
The body is made of the same wood that he himself used, making the sound as close as possible to the original. Among the new instruments invented in recent years, I think the daxophone is a very excellent instrument in terms of possibilities. I think what makes it stand out is its versatility and functionality, and above all, its unique tone that no other musical instrument can produce.
Currently, several people around the world are making daxophones, and it is interesting to see how each creator’s ideas are reflected in their creations.
After 12 years since he passed away, I decided to help sell this instrument because I thought that the inventor would be happy if this instrument was recognized and played by as many people as possible in the future.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the craftsmen, Mr. Yatsuse Saijo and Mr. Yasei, who worked so hard on this production.
